DCE and His Entourage Pays Working Visit to Quarry Site.

The District Chief Executive for Shai-Osudoku District and a team of Assembly officials have paid a working visit to the quarry site at Shai Hills in the district.

The purpose of the visit was to enable the team to familiarize themselves with opportunities and challenges faced by the unit in their routine operations.

Accompanying the Chief Executive was the District Coordinating Director Mr.Frederick Akitty, Nadmo Director, Nana Asante Boateng, District Physical Planning Officer, Mrs.Nayram Akutei, District Surveyor, Isaac Nana Selby, Budget Analyst, Mr. Frank Assimeng, Works Engineer, Mr. Francis Agbo, and the District Information Officer, Mrs.Cornelia Asante-Obeng.

Interacting with the quarry workers, Hon. Akuffo assured them of the Assembly's support since their work was of value and significance to the cause of the District.

The Quarry's the team visited are; Massey Stone Gh.ltd, Platinum, Check 2 Quarry, Derby Quarry, Gokay amongst others.

Touching on challenges facing them, the workers mentioned that the menace of land guards continues to be a great source of threat to their work and livelihood.

They, therefore, prevailed on the Assembly to do something about the situation for peace to prevail in their work environment.

They also disclose that their Chinese counterparts have cheapen their products thereby attracting more customers, even though their commodity was of higher quality.
