DCE Confers with Key Stakeholders on Land Disputes at Kasunya.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Shai- Osudoku, Hon. Fred Offei has conferred with key stakeholders concerning the land disputes between the locals and TIEC in Kasunya on Tuesday 16th November 2021.

Attending to a meeting were chief superintendent Winfred Asare Nyarko, Akuse Police Commander, Nene Osuagbo1, Management of Kpong Irrigation Scheme(KIS),

Management of the Shai-Osudoku District Assembly, Presiding Member, Hon.Noah Sabutey and some opinion leaders.

The dispute has caused a rift between the locals and these developers for a while necessitating a need to at least recommend a temporal solution.

It was agreed to share the total of 28 hectares of land between the two parties as 20 for the locals whereas 8 and any remaining land for TIEC.

The DCE was then tasked to write a letter of recommendation to the Chief Executive of Ghana Irrigation Development Authority (GIDA) for the allocation to be made.
