DCE DONATES ITEMS TO AFFECTED DISASTER VICTIMS.

The District Chief Executive of the Shai-Osudoku District Assembly Hon.Fred Offei Twum, led a team from the Shai-Osudoku District Assembly, including a special task force to the affected areas in Asutuare and other Osudoku communities along the lower Volta Basin on Saturday 14th October,2023..

The DCE, the Presiding Member of the Assembly, Hon.Noah Sabutey, and the team interacted with the affected community inhabitants and assured them of the government's support in these devastating moments.

He stated that the government indeed shared in their discomfort and was worried about the magnitude of damage after VRA's spillage.

He also assured them that he was in talks with VRA, and other cooperate organizations in the enclave to quickly come to their aid.

The Hon.DCE donated, 50 live jackets, 50 blankets, 50 student mattresses, 200 mosquito nets, 600 bags of sachet water, and 5 bails of second-hand clothes, T-rolls, and buckets for the flood victims.

He assured them that his team would constantly monitor developments in the enclave to ensure that further damage to lives and property would be averted.
