Donation of Motorbikes to Assembly Members.

Thirty-three Assembly members of the Shai-Osudoku District Assembly are now beneficiaries of motorbikes to help them discharge their duties effectively.

The donation is in fulfilment of a plea made by the members to the Assembly.

Effective use:

Addressing the members after presenting the motorbikes, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Daniel Teye Akuffo advised them to put the automobiles to good use.

He further advised the beneficiaries to restrain from selling them or parked them in their various homes.

Mr Akuffo pointed out that "there is no rule insisting the motorbikes should be returned after the term of office is served."

He said that it will be appropriate if the motorbikes are properly maintained by the Assembly members for future use.

Appraisal:

The Shai-Osudoku DCE lauded the members for using their own resources in carrying out their duties without hesitation.

In his contribution, the Presiding Member- Jonathan Kwabla, expressed deep gratitude to the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo and the DCE saying "the gesture shows how the President has the Assembly members at heart."
