DISTRICT DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION TOURS BECE CENTRE’s  IN THE SHAI-OSUDOKU DISTRICT.

The District Director,Ms Harriet Lomotey and some officials of the Ghana Education Service visited all the 7 centers in the District to monitor this year’s BECE.

She encouraged the students and wished them well in the exams.She urged them to avoid examination malpractices and remain focused.

Ms Lomotey further advised the supervisors and invigilators to be alert and report any unauthorized persons who may visit the centers to the Police.

SHAI-OSUDOKU EDUCATION DIRECTORATE LAUNCHES SUSTAINABLE ZERO-WASTE PROJECT IN SCHOOLS.

The Shai-Osudoku Education Directorate in collaboration with the zoomlion limited have launched "Zero waste and plastic collection drive in schools in the District on Friday 31st May,2024..

THE DCE OF SHAI-OSUDOKU DISTRICT HAS SPONSORED A MOCK FOR JSS 3 STUDENTS..

In a bid to enhance academic performance and prepare students for the  upcoming Basic Education Certificate Examination, the Shai Osudoku District Assembly has sponsored a District Mock Examination for Students in the District. 

This Mock aims to provide students with a practical examination experience and help them gauge their readiness and identify areas  they need improvement before the final exams in July.

SHAI-OSUDOKU DISTRICT ASSEMBLY CONFERS WITH PAST EXECUTIVES ON MEASURES TO ENHANCE DEVELOPMENT.

The Shai-Osudoku District has held its first ordinary meeting of the 4th Assembly at the Guggisberg Memorial Hall at Dodowa.

The two- day meeting brought together past executives of the Assembly including District Chief Executives(DCEs) and Presiding Members who shared their rich acquired experiences and knowledge whilst in office in an attempt to find sustainable measures to push the frontiers of development the area.

The Shai-Osudoku District Education Directorate has won the Zone 2 Inter-District Sports Festival held at the Tema Secondary School.

The District was awarded a trophy for placing 1st in the Sports Festival.

The 2-days Festival, was held from Thursday 23rd- Friday 24th May,2024.The Competition was to select boys and girls to represent Zone 2 at the upcoming Greater Accra Inter Zonal Sports.

The Zone 2 Districts, comprising Shai- Osudoku, Tema Metro, Tema West and Ashaiman competed in Football, Volleyball and Athletics for Boys and Girls.

Practical Education Network (PEN), in collaboration with the Shai Osudoku Education Directorate has organised a one-day training on Science Manuals for Basic 1- 6 Facilitators.

PEN seeks to improve opportunities and outcomes in underserved communities through building the capacity of teachers. This is done by equipping STEM teachers to use readily available everyday materials to demonstrate complex science topics.

All Science Facilitators were given a Science Manual after the workshop which was organised in cohorts.

BUSINESS RESOURCE CENTER COMMISSIONED AT SHAI-OSUDOKU DISTRICT.

The Minister for Trade and Industry Hon. Kobina Tahir Hammond, has commissioned a newly -built Business Resource Center at Dodowa in the Shai- Osudoku District of the Greater Accra Region.

It was in collaboration with the Rural Enterprises Program under the Ghana Enterprises Agency
which was financed by the African Development Bank and International Fund for Agricultural Development(IFAD).

The Shai-Osudoku District has Inaugurated its Twenty-two(22)elected Assembly Members and the eight(8) Government Appointees.

THE GHANA HEALTH SERVICE IN COLLABORATION WITH NADMO DISTRIBUTED RELIEF ITEMS TO VICTIMS OF THE AKOSOMBO DAM SPILLAGE IN THE SAFE HAVENS AT TOKPO AND DJORKPO.

Shai-Osudoku District Health Directorate in collaboration with NADMO on Wednesday 24th January, 2024 distributed relief items to victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage in the safe havens at Tokpo and Djorkpo.

The District Health Director Rev. Dr. Ebenezer Asiamah handed over the items on behalf of Ghana Health Services to NADMO for onward distribution.
