Osudoku Aadegbor Festival 2019

The 2019 annual Osudoku Aadegbor festival celebrated by the people of Osudoku has taken place on Saturday 28th of September,2019.

The event which was organised by the President of Osudoku Traditional Council and his planning committee had Dignitaries like the Greater Accra Regional Minister Hon.Ishmeal Ashittey,Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture,Dr Ziblim Barri Iddi, The District Chief Executive, Hon. Daniel Akuffo and many others.

The Chief Executive,Mr.Akuffo stated that the Government of His excellency Nana Addo Dankwa and the Shai-Osudoku District Assembly has during the period undertaken numerous projects in the Osudoku Area including 12 Unit Block at Osuwem(Lanor), 6 Unit Classroom Block at Osuwem(completed), 10 Seater WC at Osuwem etc. He said, Despite the above numerous projects, it is sad that the road from Asutsuare Junction-Osuwem-Asutuare is in deplorable state.

However, it has been awarded on contract for resealing." Pre-commencement meeting has taken place and the actual work is expected to commence soon".

He continued, that although there was a little misunderstanding as to the mode of celebrating the festival, Nene Ngmongmowai was able to ensure peace and order. And his substantial role in their attempt to resolve the impasse between Shinefeel Ghana Company Limited and Osudoku Senior High Technical School.

He further pleaded with the chief’s and the people to take part in the National Sanitation day exercise to help improve sanity,And also

the chiefs to help calm land guard related issues.

The Regional Minister, Hon. Ishmael Ashietey, stated that the chief’s and the people of Shai-Osudoku should be patriotic and urged them to utilize Natural and Human Resources available in the area to help push development in the community

He promised to help by inviting investors into the district to carry out developmental projects.

He urged the Traditional Council to promote peace tranquility and harmonious co-existence among them to empower the youth so to reduce crime rate in the country.

Nene Ngmongmowia VI, the Chief of Osudoku firstly, thanked the Regional Minister, the DCE, Hon, Daniel Akuffo and other dignitaries for honoring his invite to join him and his People in the celebration of their festival this year and their contributions.

He further continued, the people are in need of social amenities and pleads with the president His Excellency Nana Akuffo Addo to come their aid.

He stated that, the community have resources such as, lake that produces a lot of fishes, banana farms that employed a huge number of people. And for that they have made lands ready to be used for developmental projects such as farming, real estate developments etc. by inviting potential investors to help in developing the district and nation as a whole.
