SHAI-OSUDOKU DISTRICT ASSEMBLY HOLDS "MY FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL" FOR THE YEAR 2023.

The Shai-Osudoku District in conjunction with the District Education Directorate has held this year's "My first day at school"with a call on parents to give due recognition to the impactful role of teachers.

Representing the District Chief Executive (DCE), the Presiding Member Hon. Noah Sabutey welcomed the newly admitted pupils in the various schools whilst acknowledging teachers for their invaluable role in the scheme of things.

Areas visited included Huapa,Agotor,and Osuwem in the District.

Speaking to the pupils Hon. Noah Sabutey encouraged them to take their lessons seriously and prevailed on them to prevail on their siblings and friends who are refusing to come to school to do so.

He further challenged them to aspire to become great in future by coming to school always and keeping to their books.

The PM presented the student with stationery,drinks and biscuits to welcome them and to entice them to stay.

He used the opportunity to interact with some of the teachers to find out their challenges and the way forward whilst thanking them for their unflinching support to the District.

On behalf of the District Education Director,Mr.Azumah thanked the teachers for their selfless sacrifice to ensure that children stay in school and also thanked the circuit supervisors for their commitment at ensuring teachers are at post.

The PM seized the opportunity to witness the handing over of the contract of the fence wall construction at Osudoku Senior High an Technical School at Asutsuare.

The nine-month contract that begins January-September 2023.
