SHAI- OSUDOKU DISTRICT ASSEMBLY (SODA)HAS HELD ITS FIRST INTER-SERVICE AND SECTORIAL COLLABORATION AND CO-OPERATION SYSTEM MEETING.

SHAI- OSUDOKU DISTRICT ASSEMBLY (SODA)HAS HELD ITS FIRST INTER-SERVICE AND SECTORIAL COLLABORATION AND CO-OPERATION SYSTEM MEETING.

 

In line with section 81 of Local Governance Act,2016,Act 936 enjoins Departments Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies to collaborate and co-operate with Non-Decentralized Department, State-Owned Enterprise (SOEs) and Public Corporations operating in the district.

 

 In the light of this,the District Planning officer Mrs.Edith Elikplim Gadagoe encouraged all the inter-service and sectorial heads to continue to work together to avoid duplication and ensure a more convenient and cost- effective implementation of programmes and projects. 

 

In addition the District Planning Officer presented slides which projects the various activities to be undertaken by each sector and the need for the various heads to always strategies a co-ordinating approach in the management of the District to safeguard value for money.

 

 The Right to Information Officer of SODA, Miss Felicia Hagan who gave a brief orientation on the Right to Information Act,989.The Hon. DCE emphasized that the RTI law has come to stay and as such all citizens should take advantage of requesting for information from any public and non governmental organizations being funded by the tax payers.

 

The mandate of all the inter-service and sectorial where emphasized by the heads and representative one after the other.

 

In his closing remarks the chief Servant thanked the heads and urge them to work as a team to Forster unity and collaboration to achieve each and every sectors objectives and for the betterment of the District.
