CITIZENS URGED TO RENEW THEIR MIND AS SHAI-OSUDOKU DISTRICT OBSERVES NATIONAL PRAYER AND THANKSGIVING DAY.

The Shai-Osudoku District has observed the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Day with a call on citizens to emulate the spirit of resilience and hard work exhibited by our forefathers to push the 
frontiers of development of our nation.

The District Chief Executive for Shai-Osudoku, Hon.Ignatius Godfred Dordoe who made the call said leadership is a difficult phenomenon which requires the moral support and prayers of all citizens.

He made the call at the observance of the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Day which was held simultaneously at Dodowa and Asutsuare simultaneously.

The District Chief Executive of the assembly presided over affairs at Dodowa while the Presiding Member Hon.Nicholas Owen Korlettey spearheaded affairs at Asutsuare.

It was attended by the clergy,Chief Imam, Teachers,students,Assembly Members,Heads of Department, stakeholders....etc...

Hon. Dordoe said after 65 years of sovereignty and nationhood, we need to take a step back, reflect and chart a new way forward.

“ All we need is a conscious effort to succeed and the will and ability to deliver “, he said.

He said society was looking up to those at the helm of affairs to succeed and they cannot fail since everything needed to succeed was available in the District. 

Leading the session for prayers was Rev.Nathaniel Dennis Ashong,Rev.Frederick Teye Nartey,Rev.Dr.Ebenezer Asiamah,Pastor George Apperkon,Apostle Mark Tetteh Kumador.

Following thanksgiving prayers, prayers were said for the presidency, the nation, the world, the judiciary among others.
