 BRIEF MANDATE OF THE DEPARTMENT

To ensure that all children of Shai Osudoku District of school-going age are provided with inclusive and equitable quality formal education and training through effective and efficient management of resources to make education delivery relevant to the manpower needs of the District.

 SERVICES PROVIDED BY THEDEPARTMENT

• Monitoring and supervision of teaching and learning
• Planning and management of schools and the district office
• Management and supervision of personnel in Basic Schools and the Directorate
• Organize Training Programmes for Staff
• Collection and submission of statistical data for both public and private schools for the purposes of planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation at the district level.
• Preparation and submission of quarterly and annual reports on all educational activities in the district.
