DCE Pays Familiarization Visit to Registration Centres.

The District Chief Executive(DCE) for Shai Osudoku Hon. Daniel Teye Akuffo has ended a two-day familiarization visit to registration centres of the ongoing voter registration process in the district today.

The visit was to afford him the opportunity to familiarize himself with voter enthusiasm and the smoothness of the exercise.

It was also to give him first-hand information on the state of adherence to the Covid-19 protocols.

The Chief Servant, with his entourage, visited all the polling centres in the district and had an interaction with electoral officers and prospective voters.

At each centre, he commended the officers for their patience and sense of duty whilst encouraging them to continue to give off their best throughout the period.

Mr Akuffo urged the prospective voters to continue to exercise patience and register in their numbers as it was their civic duty to do so.

He commended them for their patience whilst waiting for their turn to be registered, adding that they were exercising their democratic right which would come in handy in due course.

He distributed face masks and hand sanitizers to officials and registrants at each of the centres to help them meet the protocols.

The chief executive expressed much pleasure at the impressive turnout, adding that it is expected that the exercise would gather more momentum with time.
