EDUCATION DIRECTORATE HOLDS 2025 EDITION OF MEET THE CANDIDATES FORUM.

The Shai-Osudoku Education Directorate has successfully organised this year’s edition of Meet the Candidates Forum. This is an initiative designed to prepare candidates for the upcoming Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

The forum was held in two cohorts — Dodowa and Asutsuare, and was led by the District Director of Education, Ms. Harriet Lomotey, who was accompanied by seasoned examiners from the district, who took the candidates through important examination strategies and subject specific insights.

The examiners also addressed common misconceptions about the BECE and spent time to explain examination protocols to ensure candidates are well-prepared.

Speaking at the Asutsuare session, Ms. Lomotey emphasized the significance of the exercise, describing it as one of many interventions aimed at promoting quality education in the district.

She encouraged the candidates to remain focused and challenged them to exceed the 2024 BECE pass percentage of 80.86%, by aiming for 85% in 2025. She expressed her confidence in their ability to meet the target.
