Shai-Osudoku Assembly Commissions 6-Units Classroom Block and 16-Seater Toilet Facility.
The Shai-Osudoku District Assembly on Friday, 25th June 2021 commissioned a 6-unit classroom block at Osudoku Senior Technical school and a 16-seater toilet facility at Lanor respectively.
The occasion which took place at the respective locations was graced by the District Chief Executive of the Shai-Osudoku District Assembly Hon. Daniel Akuffo, Representative of the chief of the Osudoku Traditional Area and President of the Greater Accra Regional House of Chief's, Nene Aklebeto I, Ag. District Coordinating Director, Mr Robert Mensah Gbley, District Works Engineer, Mr Francis Abgo, among other notable persons.
As part of the government's policies on Free Senior High School, the old Osudoku Senior High Technical School has been marked as one of the senior high schools that needed massive support in terms of infrastructure. Considering the current happenings and outbreak of COVID-19, it was very necessary to assist the school with more infrastructure.
The Hon. District Chief Executive in his address expressed his excitement in the government's and assembly's efforts at assisting with development in the district, adding that both the central government and the Shai-Osudoku District Assembly has done a lot in the educational sector.
He said " The Shai-Osudoku District Assembly and the central government has supported the district with furniture for KG, basic and Senior High School to accommodate students to have a better position for learning when you get into these classrooms.
According to him, another project on the way was the GETFUND projects for the fencing of both Ghanata Senior High School and the Osudoku Senior High Technical School.
He urged the students to take good care of the edifice adding that nothing is expected from them but good grades and excellence so that Ghanata and Osutech can be listed among notable schools by the likes of
Mfantsipem, Adisadel, Prempeh, PRESEC among others.
The representative of the Chief of Osudoku Traditional Area, President of the Regional House of chiefs, Nene Aklebeto I could not be left out as he expressed sincere gratitude to the Shai-Osudoku District Assembly and the central government for the good work they have done in terms of educational infrastructure in Osudoku.
He urged the students to practice good maintenance culture whilst encouraging the students to be of good moral behaviour and, fully utilize the infrastructure to excel at the end since that was why they were in school.
He concluded on the note that the good work should not stop here and they hope and believe that good things and better things will continue coming to the District.
The Headmistress of Osudoku Senior High Technical School Madam Christiana felt fortunate and deemed it a great honour to have such an infrastructure during her term of office.
She said the classroom block has been built at the right time since the single-track system will be running in the school from the next academic year.
She expressed gratitude to the central government, the District Chief Executive and all who have laboured in diverse ways to see these projects through.
