The District Chief Executive( DCE)of Shai-Osudoku District Assembly Hon. Ignatius Godfred Dordoe on Wednesday 4th June, 2025 met all the GPRTU Chairmen and Okada riders within the district at the conference hall of the District Assembly.

 

In his opening remarks, Hon. Ignatius Godfred Dordoe welcomed all the GPRTU Chairmen and Okada riders to the meeting and also thanked them for taking time off their busy schedules to avail themselves to the meeting.

PRESIDENT COMMITS TO PROVIDING GOOD ROADS FOR GREATER ACCRA REGION.

President of the Republic of Ghana,His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has committed to providing good roads for the chiefs and people of the Greater Accra Region under the Big Push- National Infrastructure Development Programme.

He stated that he was not unaware of the frustrations associated with travelling on poor roads, poor maintenance of roads and incomplete road projects.

The Greater Accra Regional Minister,Hon.Linda Akweley Ocloo and a Member of Parliament for the Shai-Osudoku Constituency and her team from the Regional Coordinating Council joined the Shai-Osudoku District for the Sanitation Day in the region.

As part of measures to implement and enforce sanitation policy rules, the Shai-Osudoku District has observed the Regional Sanitation Day at Dodowa in the Greater Accra Region.

The policy seeks to promote cleanliness and mitigate the rate of disease spread in human habitations.

Activities that took place included clearing drains, sweeping streets and collecting waste to promote environmental hygiene.

Community engagement session was conducted by the Social Welfare and Community Development and the Information Services Department educated beneficiaries of the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty program at Dodowa,Ayikuma,Kasunya and Avakpo on Wednesday 26th March,2025.

The session provided valuable insights into the program’s benefits, eligibility requirements, and proper fund utilization.

Beneficiaries and community members gained a clearer understanding of the importance of using LEAP support for essential needs such as food, hLEAP Education Outreach
